Construction of Burj Khalifa with challenge and facts Part 2

Almost all the physical structure of Burj Khalifa was established. All the stories were completed. but one thing that was glass on the building. The team started working on the exterior and interior design.

There are 24000 glass panels that have been installed on Burj Khalifa.

When the summer season came in UAE, The inner temperature of Burj Khalifa rises up to 100 degrees centigrade. This problem occur at that time when the physical structure was completed. There was needed 10 times more electricity to maintain the temperature of Burj Khalifa. The team consults with specialists from all over the world but they did not reach any solution. After 18 months, the team was concerned with an engineer Jahon Zarif. He tells the team that the idea is very expensive and they have to invest a lot of money to implement this idea.

John design a special type of glass that does not pass UV light from the mirror.

this is a very costly method and one single glass panel is 2000 us dollars. For 24000 panels, the total amount becomes 3.7 billion rupees which is too much for only exterior design. whatever, this idea was finally implemented and a factory was only made to do this. This factory only manufactures this type of glass panel. The company makes 24000 panels only in 4 months. This idea work in reality, and the room temperature of Burj Khalifa got normal.

The next challenge was amazing and interesting. The Burj Khalifa was very near to inauguration. The team is very happy with their world-class achievement in engineering history. Almost team has ended all the interior designing and work of Burj Khalifa. The supply of gas, water, and electricity was completed. but still, there is something missing.

It is the uncompleted work of the last story of Burj Khalifa. In design, it was a solid steel pipe which has to be inserted on top of Burj Khalifa. The length of the pipe was 136 meters and its weight was 3.5 tons. There was no crane in the world to uplift this heavy pipe through this height.

The team has decided to do this task at any cost. There were very few days left behind the inauguration of Burj Khalifa. The team has an idea that there is no way to uplift such heavy pipe through this height. The team decides to install this pipe from the inner side of the last story just like a mobile tower. The manufacturer company manufactures solid steel pipes in multiple stages. The construction team uplifts every part of the pipe gradually one by one. The team got successful in installing this 136-meter long solid steel pipe on top of the Burj Khalifa.

Now the team has completed all their exterior and interior designing and construction of Burj Khalifa. but there was another challenge that the Burj Khalifa glass panels were full of dust due to construction work. There is no other technology that can be implemented for the cleaning of these panels. So the team decided that human labor can do this task. with the help of supportive ropes, the labor did this task in very limited time. now every year, people work on exterior cleaning of mirrors.

Look at some amazing and interesting facts about the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa. There were 12000 workers working at the same time on Burj Khalifa. The height of Burj Khalifa is equal is more than the time the height of the Eiffel tower.

There are 24000 glass panels installed on it whose weight is more than  35 aircraft’s model A-380.

The restaurant in Burj Khalifa has maximum height compare to any restaurant in the world. The elevator and lift installed in Burj Khalifa were the fastest compare to any elevator in the world. The balcony made in Burj Khalifa got automatically closed on high-speed wind for public safety. The airspeed in a normal air storm may be equal to a category one hurricane.

Anyone can see the top of Burj Khalifa from a distance of 100 kilometers. The Burj Khalifa was construed at the place of old military headquarter. It is very amazing that anyone can see the sunset two times a day from the top and bottom of Burj Khalifa. Actually, the Burj Khalifa is the sky scrapper building in the world.
